How is Test Structured?

The Impossible GenAI Test covers six crucial areas of Generative AI, each containing 5 randomly selected questions. Each section features a mix of question types, including multiple-choice, true/false, scenario-based questions, and pseudocode challenges.

How it Works?

Test Mechanics

  • The Basics

    Each of the 25 questions has one or more correct answers. It also has three levels of complexity. You have to provide an answer to every question. You'll have 40 minutes total to take the test

  • Score Calculation

    If you don't reply correctly, we will substract -1*(complexity score; 1, 1.5, or 2) from your total score. The harder the question, the more you can get from answering it, and the more you stand to lose from failing it.

  • Results

    For each of the 6 chapters, you will get a detailed score and a pass/fail. You can only pass the test if you get more than 80% from the test, and don't get a fail from any of the sections.

How it Works?

Test Mechanics

Each of the 30 questions has one or more correct answers. If you don't reply correctly, you get a negative point based on the questions complexity (1, 1.5, or 2 for the hardest). You have to score above 75% in each chapter to pass the test.

The Impossible GenAI Test FAQs

  • Can I retake the test?

    We allow you to retake the test only two more times. However, we suggest you take the test in a few months' time, so that you can improve your skills and the knowledge.

  • What type of questions should I expect?

    Expect multiple choice questions, as well as questions where multiple answers are possible. You will also face questions for which you'd need to code. You'll have only 90 seconds per question, so use your time wisely.

  • Can I just use GenAI to pass the test?

    Now this wouldn't be fun, would it? We encourage you to attempt to take the test yourself. Industry-leading models are currently failing the test, so GenAI won't be of much help, either.

  • Is the test free?

    Yes, the test is absolutely free. We encourage you to share it with your friends and colleagues to see how you perform!

  • Will I get a certificate upon completion?

    You can use the end screen of the test as a confirmation of your score. We will publish a leaderboard with your nickname that you can also refer people to! For certifications, please check out our other courses at learn.activeloop.ai
